About the Role
Provides mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services under supervision of a licensed Psychologist or Psychiatrist. Collaborates with healthcare teams to develop and evaluate individualized treatment plans for adults and children with diverse mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates clinical treatment programs, including outpatient psychotherapy for individuals, families, and groups.
- Performs psychological assessments, interprets test results, and maintains confidential records.
- Collaborates with physicians on medication evaluation and utilizes community resources for patient care.
- Provides psychoeducational classes, supervises mental health trainees, and offers support to patients' families.
- Consults with supervisors and healthcare providers to monitor patient progress and safety, reporting concerns as needed.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, Health, or School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a minimum one-year psychology internship.
- Psychologist license within 24 months of hire and registration as a Psychological Assistant.
- Experience assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric conditions, with knowledge of DSM-V and evidence-based practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with ethical professionalism and teamwork orientation.
Additional Information
- Familiarity with psychological testing, crisis intervention, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to work in a partnership environment and complete licensure within two years post-supervised hours.
