Psychiatry (PMHNP)
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a full-time Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the Department of Psychiatry.
About the Role
The Department of Psychiatry includes the Division of Inpatient Psychiatry (14-bed acute inpatient unit expanding to 20 beds by the end of 2026, consults to Med-Surg inpatients at several affiliate hospitals, and consults to the Emergency Departments) and the Division of Outpatient Psychiatry (OMH-licensed clinic in Cooperstown, NY) with satellites throughout the Bassett Network and extensive telepsychiatry services. You will join a diverse psychiatric team of physicians and PMHNPs.
Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of primary mental health services to the adult patient population with a focus on promoting optimal mental health.
- Deliver psychiatric consultation, diagnostic, and treatment services, including medication management and crisis intervention.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification.
- Experience with adults (18 years and older).
- 3+ years of experience preferred.
- New York State licensure (or eligibility to obtain).
- Valid DEA license.
- BLS Certification.
Pay
Salary Range: $130,000 - $145,000. This range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of posting and is based on qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation.
Sign-on Bonus: up to $50,000.
Supportive transition bonus of $5,000.
