Psychiatry Physician - Outpatient (Part-Time)

About the role

This position involves providing psychiatric care for adult outpatients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and addictive disorders. The psychiatrist evaluates patients through interviews, reviews medical and family histories, and interprets diagnostic tests to develop personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities include diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, maintaining detailed patient records, and addressing psychological and interpersonal issues. The role requires working onsite in a clinical setting, adhering to organizational policies, and delivering comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient interviews to gather clinical information
• Perform and interpret diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
• Collaborate with patients and families to manage stress and crises
• Work exclusively onsite in a clinical environment, following organizational protocols

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree (required)
• Ability to diagnose and treat mental health conditions
• Proficiency in psychopharmacology, diagnostic testing, and record-keeping
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
