About the role

Physician-led private group covering multiple hospitals, outpatient clinics, and long‑term care facilities across the Mid South. Providers serve child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatry, offering therapy to people of all ages. Choose from two great towns to practice medicine, each a short drive to Birmingham and its international airport, with local colleges, excellent private and public K‑12 schools, boating, fishing, hunting, hiking, and youth activities. Service area ~300,000 and growing; reasonable cost of living compared to national average.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient psychiatry (and optional nursing‑home rounding)
• Deliver a range of evidence‑based therapies: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Child and Family Therapy, Behavioral Management, Anger Management, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Dual Diagnosis treatment, EMDR, Interpersonal Therapies to Strengthen Social Well‑Being, Anxiety/Social Anxiety treatment, Depression treatment, Drug and alcohol addiction treatment, Eating disorders treatment, Grief and loss counseling, Bipolar disorder management, Post‑traumatic stress disorder therapy, Marital conflict counseling, Postpartum depression support, Medication Management, Interventions, Play Therapy, Trauma Counseling, Mindfulness, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy, Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Psychotherapy Skills.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Alabama medical license
• 1+ years of experience preferred
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Interest/experience with TMS preferred
• J‑1 visa candidates welcome to apply
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor, with or without US residency, holding current US work visa

Pay

• Base salary up to $340,000
• $35,000 sign‑on bonus

Schedule

• Full‑time or part‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 5 pm for outpatient and rounding roles
• Rounding‑only schedule typically finishes by 3 pm
• No weekend work
