About the role

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine seeks a Medical Director for its Moses Campus Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic. This role requires leadership, training, and supervision of a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Moses Campus Child Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic
• Mentor and supervise psychiatry residents, child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, and psychology interns and externs
• Develop and implement clinical programs such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eating Disorder treatment
• Collaborate with the Bronx community to provide comprehensive mental health services
• Participate in faculty practice and cover evenings and weekends at the hospital

Requirements

• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Board Eligibility or Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (optional)

• Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

Skills

• Expertise in treating children and adolescents with various psychiatric conditions
• Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders
• Ability to develop and manage clinical programs
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
