Psychiatrist (Part-Time, 12 hrs/week)

At Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH), our mission is to empower individuals and strengthen the communities we serve. We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated Psychiatrist to join our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) in Dunn, NC for 12 hours per week.

About the Role

As the ACT Team Psychiatrist, you will be a clinical leader providing essential psychiatric care for individuals with serious mental illness and substance use challenges. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver person-centered, community-based services that create lasting impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
• Deliver outpatient psychotherapy in community settings
• Utilize evidence-based and emerging best practices in psychiatric care
• Ensure coordination between mental health, substance use, and primary healthcare services
• Consult with primary care providers to support comprehensive health needs
• Guide and support ACT team members in clinical decision-making

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD or DO) with an active, unrestricted NC license
• Board Certification in Psychiatry (ASAM certification or eligibility preferred)
• 5+ years experience treating individuals with mental illness
• Expertise in treating serious mental illness, including:
  • Schizophrenia
  • Schizoaffective Disorder
  • Bipolar I Disorder with Psychosis
• A heart for community-based care and a commitment to recovery-centered practice
