Psychiatrist - Long-Term Structured Residence (LTSR) 20hrs/wk

Merakey is seeking a hybrid part-time Psychiatrist to support our Long Term Structured Residence (LTSR) programs at our Russellton, PA and Beaver Falls, PA locations.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with clinical, clerical, and interdisciplinary teams

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments upon admission and throughout treatment
• Develop, review, and approve individualized treatment plans as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications; evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Provide ongoing psychiatric care, including assessment of mental status, symptom management, and risk factors
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and direct care staff
• Respond to psychiatric crises and determine the need for emergency interventions or higher levels of care, including hospitalization when indicated
• Ensure psychiatric services comply with Pennsylvania Department of Human Services regulations and professional standards of care
• Support resident recovery, rehabilitation, and transition planning to the least restrictive community-based setting
• Participate in commitment hearings

Pay

Up to $200/hr

Schedule

• 20 hours per week (telehealth + minimum one onsite visit per location per month)
• Flexible schedule—choose your own days and hours between locations
