About the Role

This outpatient psychiatric position involves providing full-time clinical services in a correctional setting, primarily for adult patients with routine mental health conditions and severe mental illness.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations (60-90 minutes) and medication management follow-ups (20-30 minutes).
• Complete administrative documentation within scheduled work hours.
• Collaborate with correctional staff and manage a patient caseload efficiently.
• Adhere to scheduled hours; call coverage is negotiable.

Requirements

• Board certification is required.
• Experience in outpatient psychiatry, including managing diverse adult populations with community mental health needs.
• Strong documentation skills and the ability to work independently.

Key Duties

• Provide psychiatric assessments, medication management, and follow-up care for adult patients.
• Manage a variable caseload, including correctional inmates.
