About the role
The role involves onsite rounding from 8:30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 24-hour remote call on weekends.
Responsibilities
- See 12-16 patients per shift
- Work in acute psychiatric units and long-term facilities
- Focus on treating anxiety, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, and organic disorders
- Provide urgent backfill coverage with 9.5 hours guaranteed per onsite shift
Requirements
- Relevant psychiatric experience
- Skills in managing complex cases
- PREFERRED: Experience with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, ECT, pharmacotherapy, and group/family therapy
Qualifications
- Competitive compensation including paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and 24-hour access to a healthcare consultant
