Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Psychiatrist - CPEP to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging, and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits, and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem's CPEP provides 24/7 emergency psychiatric evaluation and crisis intervention, with a six-bed Extended Observation Unit, to a diverse, underserved community. The multidisciplinary team consists of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric NPs, Social Workers, Nurses, and other behavioral health specialists delivering high-quality care in an academic safety-net setting. Opportunity Details Full-time, daytime Psychiatrist to join our CPEP team; 8- or 12-hour shifts. Part-time may also be considered.Evaluate and manage acute psychiatric, behavioral health, and substance use emergencies.Work within a multidisciplinary team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric NPs, Social Workers, Nurses, and other behavioral health professionals.Teach and supervise Psychiatry Residents, Medical Students, and other trainees as applicable.Respond to consult requests from the Medical ER, Pediatric ER, and Inpatient Medical and Pediatric units, as well as the Inpatient Psychiatric unit after hours.
