Psychiatrist Clinical, MDH (REPOST) (Contractual Part-Time On-Call Psychiatrist)

About the role

The Thomas B. Finan Center is an inpatient psychiatric hospital located in Cumberland, Maryland. It is owned and managed by the state of Maryland and operates 88 beds, providing services to individuals aged 18 and older. The facility is situated at 10102 Country Club Road, Cumberland, MD 21502, approximately two and a half hours from Baltimore.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric treatment to mentally ill patients of the Thomas B. Finan Center.
• Provide on‑call coverage for clinical services to patients.
• Develop patient treatment plans.
• Implement and oversee treatment plans.
• Order tests and prescribe medication.

Requirements

• Education: Must meet the licensing requirements for physicians as determined by the Maryland State Board of Physicians.
• Experience: Must be certified in Psychiatry by the American Medical Association Specialty Board or another board approved by the Maryland Board of Physicians.
• Employees are subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with COMAR 17.04.09 (Testing for Illegal Use of Drugs).
