Job Summary

The Child Psychiatrist at TrueCare is responsible for evaluating and diagnosing mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families. They also assist in managing, easing, or healing these disorders through treatments or medications in an integrated and holistic care model.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders affecting children, adolescents, and their families.
  • Administer treatments or medications in an integrated and holistic care model.
  • Work across diverse communities, ensuring continuity of care where it’s needed most.
  • Guide clinicians and staff to ensure seamless patient experiences.
  • Advocate for patient-centered care and improve overall care quality.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Medical Association or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from a medical school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry.
  • Completion of an approved general psychiatry residency.
  • At least two (2) years of clinical practice experience in child and adolescent focus, with willingness to also see adult patients.
  • Current Medical License from the State of California.
  • Current and unrestricted Controlled Substances Registration Certificate from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Electronic Health/Medical Record systems and Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $300,000 - $400,000 on an annual basis. Pay transparency: If you are hired at TrueCare, your salary will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining an offer.
