Psychiatrist

About the role

The Center for Mental Wellness at the University of Missouri School of Medicine - Capital Region Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join a dynamic, team-oriented practice. The team includes two Psychiatrists, two Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, twelve Professional Counselors, and three support staff.

Responsibilities

• Treatment of adult patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders
• Collaboration with other healthcare professionals in the multidisciplinary team
• Participation in clinical research projects
• Teaching and mentoring of medical students and residents
• Assisting in the development and implementation of mental health programs

Requirements

• Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Current Missouri Medical License
• Experience in outpatient and/or inpatient settings preferred

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively

Skills

• Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
• Strong organizational and administrative skills

Pay

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Shift Type: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday
