Psychiatrist

Responsibilities

• Lead the interdisciplinary team in supporting PrairieCare's treatment programs, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
• Deliver high-quality treatment to adults, adolescents, and children with psychiatric and substance use disorders, as well as their families, in accordance with your granted Medical Staff privileges.
• Provide services across various settings, including hospital, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and residential programs.
• Stay informed about follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children to ensure continuity of care.
• Congduct individual and family therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for healing and growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed in the State of Minnesota to practice medicine.
• Successfully completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General/Adult Psychiatry.
• Ability to maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance.
• Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, as well as advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
• Able to maintain information as highly confidential.
• Able to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, and able to access and use intranet sites as necessary.
• Able to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Able to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations, making effective decisions under stress.
• Able to manage disruptive and explosive patients after training.
• DEA certification is required.

Pay and Benefits

Pay range for this position is $300,000k to $325,000k depending on education and experience. Signing Bonus & Relocation Allowance offered. We are committed to providing competitive and quitable compensation. An individual's pay rate within the posted range is determined by several factors, including skills, experience, education, and market conditions. Additionally, we consider internal equity to ensure fairness within our organization.
