Psychiatrist

About the role

The Psychiatrists will perform evaluations in accordance with Title 10 CFR Part 710. Evaluations can be done either in person or via a HIPAA-compliant telemedicine application.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations in accordance with Title 10 CFR Part 710.
• Evaluate the individual’s mental illness or mental condition and any associated treatments.
• Order and evaluate PEth and EtG laboratory tests of the individual by a certified laboratory.
• Provide a final written report within ten days following the completion of the evaluation.
• Attend and provide testimony at DOE administrative review hearings.
• Utilize a Department of Energy email account.

Requirements

• U.S. citizen with an active Q or TS security clearance.
• Board-certified psychiatrist or licensed clinical psychologist in the state of Maryland.
• Maintain all required professional liability insurance or other insurance mandated by Maryland state law or any other applicable laws governing insurance requirements for psychiatric and/or psychological services.
• Experience treating individuals with substance abuse problems.
• Experience testifying at administrative or criminal proceedings.
• Passive counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination and ongoing tests for the absence of illegal substances.

Qualifications

• 50% of general practice devoted to treating individuals with substance abuse problems.
• Experience in the DOE/NNSA complex.
• Experience using Microsoft SharePoint.

Pay

Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. The range for this position is $275/hr. to $300/hr.
