Psychiatrist

Anew Era TMS & Psychiatric multi-clinic practice is looking for a qualified candidate to join our fast-growing company. Anew Era TMS, part of the DiscoveryMD professional psychiatric division, prides itself on its close culture and clinical excellence, focusing on helping patients sustain their mental health wellness goals and bringing hope to those in need. Candidates must have experience working in a TMS practice. Work is performed on-site 3-4 hours per day, 2-3 days per week. This is a 1099 contractor position with fee-based compensation earned under an RVU-based model.

About the Role

Our Psychiatrists consult with program leadership and the operations team to ensure appropriate psychiatric and pharmacological interventions. The role involves completing initial evaluations, seeing patients weekly, prescribing and monitoring medications, and collaborating with the treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients for TMS services
• Developing appropriate and effective psychopharmacological interventions for psychiatric disorders
• Interfacing with families of patients for consent and support of psychopharmacological interventions as necessary
• Identifying, conceptualizing, and communicating criteria specific to the level of treatment and formulating effective appeals for insurance carriers
• Collaborating with the treatment team to contribute to case conceptualization, treatment plans, and assessing ongoing effectiveness of interventions
• Meeting regularly with program leadership to discuss individual treatment progress
• Acting on behalf of the treatment program when interacting with insurance companies, licensing, and accreditation bodies
• Seeing individual clients weekly to monitor progress
• Documenting notes in our EMR system
• Providing second opinion evaluations when needed
• Assisting program treatment staff in treatment planning
• Providing medical direction to the treatment team

Requirements

• Must be a qualified psychiatrist
• Must have experience working in a TMS practice
• Must be a graduate of an approved medical school and hold a current license in the state of practice
• Must be eligible for membership in the local branch of the State Medical Society

Pay

Compensation is fee-based and earned under an RVU-based model. Estimated compensation: $160.00 - $200.00 per hour equivalent to RVU-based estimated earnings.

Schedule

Work is performed on-site 3-4 hours per day, 2-3 days per week.
