Psychiatrist at Butler Hospital - Inpatient Access Center (Emergency Room)
About the role
Full-time or part-time Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in the Inpatient Access Center (Emergency Room). Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments and developing individualized treatment plans for a diverse patient population. Work within a multidisciplinary team that includes attending psychiatrists, psychiatry residents, social workers, pharmacists, and nurses. Opportunities for teaching with Psychiatry Residents and Fellows from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Flexible scheduling available for Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday second-shift coverage. Shift flexibility includes 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts. Epic electronic medical record system is implemented system-wide.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients in the Inpatient Access Center (Emergency Room)
- Conduct psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including attending psychiatrists, psychiatry residents, social workers, pharmacists, and nurses
- Participate in teaching opportunities with Psychiatry Residents and Fellows from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completed or currently enrolled in an ACGME accredited residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in the applicable specialty
- Active Rhode Island MD/DO, CSR, and DEA license or eligible
