Psychiatrist at Butler Hospital - Inpatient Access Center (Emergency Room)
About the role
Full-time or part-time Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care in the Inpatient Access Center (Emergency Room), including assessments and individualized treatment planning for a diverse patient population. Work within a multidisciplinary team of attending psychiatrists, residents, social workers, pharmacists, and nurses. Opportunities for teaching with Psychiatry Residents and Fellows from Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Flexible scheduling with second-shift coverage available on Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday; shift lengths of 8, 10, or 12 hours available. Epic electronic medical record implemented system-wide.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completed or currently enrolled in an ACGME-accredited residency program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in the applicable specialty
- Active Rhode Island MD/DO license, Controlled Substance Registration (CSR), and DEA license or eligible
