Duties And Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments and diagnostic evaluations of patients presenting with mental health concerns.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including pharmacological and psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community resources to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Provide crisis intervention and support for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes.
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in psychiatry.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of a residency in Psychiatry.
- Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in clinical assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders.
- Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutic modalities.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid medical licensure to practice psychiatry.
- Computer skills required: Internet Software, Spreadsheet Software (Excel), Contract Management Systems, Word Processing Software (Word), Electronic Mail Software (Outlook), Presentation software (PowerPoint).
- Other skills required: Electronic medical record experience.
