About the role

As Medical Director of Behavioral Health Services, you will provide strategic and clinical leadership for a high‑performing team supported by a robust leadership infrastructure. This position comprises 0.8 FTE clinical practice and 0.2 FTE medical director responsibilities. You will report directly to the Medical Center Chief Medical Officer (CMO).

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical quality, safety, efficiency, and service excellence across hospital and ambulatory programs
• Foster physician engagement, mentorship, and a collaborative, high‑trust culture
• Partner closely with operational, nursing, and physician leaders to advance care standards and system‑wide improvement initiatives
• Contribute to program strategy, growth, and financial performance
• Play an active role in recruitment, onboarding, and retention

Clinical Practice

You will join an integrated physician-led medical group consisting of 5 psychiatrists, 3 Nurse Practitioners, and multiple Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, nurses, and ancillary staff. The role involves partnering with existing team members to provide outpatient, inpatient, and consult‑liaison services.

• Outpatient services are provided on a separate behavioral health campus 1 mile from the hospital
• Inpatient: treat voluntary and involuntary patients ages 18 and over with acute psychiatric and behavioral disturbances requiring the safety of a locked 22‑bed unit
