Psychiatrist - 1099 Contractor

About the Role

This outpatient psychiatric role involves providing comprehensive mental health care to adults in a county-operated clinic. You will conduct 90-minute initial evaluations and 60-minute medication management visits, managing a caseload of 10-12 patients per day. The position is full-time, on-site only, with no telehealth, and operates during Monday to Friday hours.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 90-minute initial evaluations and 60-minute medication management visits.
• Manage a caseload of 10-12 patients per day.
• Provide follow-up and medication management for patients with serious mental illness (SMI).
• Utilize the myAVATAR EMR system for documentation.

Requirements

• Board certification is negotiable.
• Strong clinical skills in behavioral health are essential.

Work Environment

• Full-time day shifts, Monday to Friday.
• On-site work only; no telehealth.
• Support staff available to assist with patient care.
• Credentialing process takes approximately 3-5 weeks.
