PSYCHIATRIC TECHNICIAN INSTRUCTOR

Job Description and Duties

This advertisement is posted as until filled. Applications will be reviewed on the 1st and 15th of each month, and selections can be made. However, the Job Control will remain open until the vacancy is filled.

The Psychiatric Technician Instructor will provide training and supervision to Psychiatric Technician Assistants and Psychiatric Technician Students in a training course designed to prepare them as Psychiatric Technicians.

• Train all disciplines in Therapeutic Strategies and Interventions (TSI)
• Conduct non-medical/surgical nursing classes
• Provide hospital orientation for affiliated schools and colleges
• Conduct CPR classes
• Conduct emergency drills on the patient care units

Special Requirements

• A Drug Screening must be passed prior to being hired
• A Background Investigation must be cleared prior to being hired
• A Medical Clearance must be obtained prior to being hired
• A Psychiatric Technician License must be held
