About the role
This position reports through the Educational Coordinator to the Director of Adolescent Education. Performs a variety of duties that include assisting the teacher in providing individualized instruction to students, managing daily classroom routines and creating and maintaining a safe, structured therapeutic milieu with age-specific behavioral management practices. Follows established policy and protocol in monitoring students' arrivals and dismissals from the Clinical Day School program.
Responsibilities
- Affixes and removes identification badges from students.
- Assists the teacher in providing individualized instruction to students.
- Maintains daily classroom routines.
- Creates and maintains a safe, structured therapeutic milieu with age-specific behavioral management practices.
- Monitors students' arrivals and dismissals from the Clinical Day School program, following established policy and protocol.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required. Prior experience working with special needs adolescents is preferred. Age-specific competencies are required.
