About the role
Under the supervision of providers, leadership, or RNs, the Psychiatric Technician II performs various duties to assist in the treatment and care of psychiatric patients in accordance with the established methods and procedures of the Psychiatric Services Inpatient Unit and Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field; Master's preferred
- 2 years of Mental Health Technician or related patient care technician experience
- Certificate in mental health technology or related field, such as licensed nursing assistant (preferred)
- BLS Certification through American Heart Association
- Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and observation skills
- Ability to report patient care observations, deviations from patient's plan of care, and other pertinent information under direct supervision
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Moderate knowledge of basic computer skills
Pay
Pay Range: $21.96 - $31.99
- $4.25 differential for evenings
- $8.00 differential for nights
- $4.75 differential for weekends
