About the role

Provides Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services facility based and/or in the community as assigned.

To enhance an individual’s knowledge to develop, enhance and retain skills and competencies in living, learning, working, and socializing.

To support PRS staff with service provision; participate in the development of individualized rehabilitation plans, group facilitation and daily documentation.

To provide goal directed community integrative activities to support the development of participant leisure and social skills.

To support the maintenance of a safe and open environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate groups and individual supports to members and document services provided.
  • Assist with special projects, reports and program planning.
  • Participate in the analysis and identification of service delivery gaps, changes and problems under the guidance of the supervisor.
  • Provide supplemental coverage and/or fill-in for other programmatic services as needed.
  • Serve as an advocate and encourage individuals to assume a proactive role in their rehabilitative process, including a mastery of skills.
  • Attend staff and other meetings as they relate to the individuals and their overall growth and development.

Requirements

  • Associates degree and One (1) year of work experience in the mental health direct service, CPS certification one (1)year of volunteering or paid, or high School diploma/GED and two years’ work experience in Human Services, which one year must be in mental health direct services.
  • OR CPRP certification.

Qualifications

  • Competent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of mental health system and supports.
  • Available for local travel.
  • May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.

Skills

Must have competent oral and written communication skills, as well as be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong computer skills are required, as well as internet research abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge of mental health system and supports.

Available for local travel.

May be required to report to work during emergencies including inclement weather.
