About the role
The Mental Health Department provides recovery-oriented services, such as WRAP, Personal Medicine, Power Statement and Advanced Directives. All service delivery is based on the department’s guiding principles which include a focus on consumer strengths and choice.
Responsibilities
- Assist and participate in the functioning of the clubhouse, including overseeing an assigned unit.
- Assure that the work for the day is completed by engaging members and sharing direct responsibility for task completion.
- Assure that adequate work exists for the unit and work to engage all members signed up for that unit.
- Provide support and encouragement to members within the clubhouse.
- Train and provide ongoing support to members in transitional employment (TE) positions and independent employment.
- Assist the program coordinator and other staff in the development of new TE placements.
- Identify and refer members to any needed services.
- Keep accurate documentation as required by program procedures.
- Assist members in opening and maintaining a record on each program participant.
- Assist members in completing goal plans in a timely fashion.
- Assure that member records meet licensure and funding source requirements.
- Obtain and maintain credentialing/training as directed by the program coordinator.
- Attend weekly case supervision meetings with the program coordinator.
- Participate in night, weekend and holiday coverage.
- Attend, complete and show documentation for 24 hours of training per year, with at least 18 hours in psychiatric rehabilitation.
- Participate in Agency, department and program activities.
- Follow and support Agency philosophy, policies and procedures.
- Assist in the transportation of consumers.
- Work toward meeting minimum qualifications for psychiatric rehabilitation worker.
- Other duties as assigned by the Clubhouse Program Coordinator.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; prefer a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in human services, which must include one (1) year of direct mental health experience.
- Must have completed or will attend 12-hour psychiatric rehabilitation orientation training within one (1) year of hire.
- 21 years old.
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and reliable transportation with an insurable driving record.
- Pennsylvania State Police Background Check.
- Must have already completed or will attend three (3) week training at an International Center of Clubhouse Development (ICCD) certified training base within two (2) years of employment, at the program coordinator’s direction.
Pay
$30,014.40 – $32,011.20 yearly salary.
