Fort Defiance Indian Hospital Board, Inc. (FDIHB, Inc.) is a CMS-accredited, not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting the health of the Navajo people within its service area. Our primary focus is on Primary Care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, serving 16 communities in the heart of the Navajo Nation.
About the role
Tsehootsooi Medical Center (TMC) is a 245,000 square-foot acute care hospital in Fort Defiance, AZ, offering services including a 24/7 Emergency Department, outpatient services, and a 56-bed inpatient unit with specialized units for Multi-Service, Intensive Care, OR/PACU, Obstetrics, and Adolescent Care. Nahata'Dziil Health Center (NDHC) in Sanders, AZ, provides multidisciplinary ambulatory care, including Primary Care, Podiatry, Dental, Physical Therapy, Optometry, and Diabetes Management, with ancillary services such as Laboratory, Pharmacy, and Radiography. Nihi Dine'e Ba Wellness Center (NDBWC), adjacent to TMC, supports Primary Care with Physical Therapy, Diabetes, and Healthy Living Outreach programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric nursing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Deliver culturally competent care to the Navajo community.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote patient wellness.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Must pass an extensive background check as required by the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.

Pay
Salary Range: $47.78 - $62.30 per hour.
