Psychiatric Physician Associate - Locum Tenens Inpatient Coverage

About the role

This role involves providing inpatient psychiatric services for adult patients in a Level III facility.

Responsibilities

• Conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medications within an inpatient setting.
• Collaborating with support staff, including one Advanced Practice Provider, to ensure continuous patient care.
• Handling a variable patient load and length of stay, with prescriptive authority required.

Schedule

Full-time during day shifts with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on a 7 on/7 off basis.

Qualifications

• Board certification in psychiatry.
• Ability to work on-site and manage adult psychiatric cases.

Additional details

• Involves working in an inpatient setting with variable census and case load.
• Support staff includes one APP for clinical assistance.
• Role does not involve initial evaluations or follow-up case management.
