About the role
This is a full-time inpatient psychiatric physician assistant position providing care for adult patients in a Level III facility. The role involves conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications, and supporting ongoing treatment within structured clinical protocols.
Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient psychiatric services to adult patients
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and medication management
- Work collaboratively within established clinical protocols
- Support ongoing treatment plans and patient care
Requirements
- Board certification in psychiatry or relevant specialty
- Prescriptive authority
- Experience with inpatient psychiatric care
- Strong clinical assessment and medication management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
Day shifts from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM on a 7 on/7 off schedule, totaling 40 hours weekly on-site. A supporting APP is available to assist with clinical operations.
