About the role
The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Missouri seeks a full-time, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their growing team. This position offers opportunities for consultation within various inpatient and outpatient settings, including the Emergency Room Assessment Unit, and outpatient services at two clinics.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric care in adult consult and outpatient service lines
- Assist with crisis stabilization, intake, and discharge planning in the Emergency Room Assessment Unit
- Offer specialized treatments such as ECT, TMS, DBS, CES, intranasal ketamine, and inpatient postpartum depression treatment
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Participate in research and education initiatives related to mental health
Requirements
- Master of Science in Nursing degree or equivalent
- Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN
- Must be granted a “Document of Recognition” from the Missouri Board of Nursing
Qualifications
- Experience in psychiatric care preferred
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in mental health
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently

Salary range: $99,174 - 161,720 annually
