About the role
MindCare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. As a leading provider of mental health services, we are committed to delivering exceptional care and support to geriatric patients and residents facing mental health challenges in the long-term care community. This role emphasizes adaptability, innovation, and a patient-centered approach to behavioral health care.
You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, value-based psychiatric care across a variety of clinical settings, focusing on proactive, evidence-based treatment strategies that improve patient health and well-being while strengthening the capacity of partner organizations. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to establish a baseline, manage psychotropic medications, and deliver personalized, need-based care.
- Develop and adjust treatment plans, including ongoing medication management, based on patient progress and input from the interdisciplinary team.
- Partner with case managers and interdisciplinary teams to create and refine care plans, ensuring a seamless, integrated approach to behavioral health management.
- Participate in regular team meetings to evaluate new referrals, review active cases, and adjust care plans based on patient progress and organizational goals.
- Contribute to quality initiatives such as performance improvement programs, medication reviews, and outcome optimization strategies.
- Travel up to 50% of the time to meet with healthcare partners, attend industry events, and provide consistent support across clinical settings.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health.
- Current and unrestricted PMHNP license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
- Active and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) registration (assistance provided for obtaining if needed).
- Proficiency in psychiatric evaluations, psychotropic medication management, and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams in diverse care settings.
- Awareness of social determinants of health and access to resources to address holistic patient needs.
- Comfortable using electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and other digital tools to enhance care delivery.
- Willingness to travel within assigned regions to provide direct care and support to partner organizations, ensuring accessibility and continuity of services.
Pay
Total compensation: $19 per RVU.
Schedule
Part-time, 3 days per week (flexible dayshift hours).
Location: Pittsburgh, PA.
