Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Job Summary

We are a private mental health practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our clinical team. In this role, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment to patients in an outpatient setting, working collaboratively alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Formulate diagnoses of mental health conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications in accordance with evidence-based best practices
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with therapists, psychologists, and other providers when clinically appropriate
• Ensure patients are active participants in their own care
• Monitor patient progress on an ongoing basis and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated

Qualifications

• Hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing
• Possess board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP
• Active state NP license in good standing
• CURRENT DEA registration or the ability to obtain one

Preferred Experience

• At least three years of experience in outpatient mental health or private practice settings
• Comfortable managing an independent patient caseload
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) platforms
