Psychiatric Nurse I (LPN) or II (RN) - Flexible Schedule Day Shift - BHSC

Responsibilities

• Provide psychological problem identification, crisis interventions, and similar services to assigned patients.
• Provide limited case management services to people we serve as needed.
• Assist consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
• Coordinate consumer’s use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources.
• Coordinate medical care and intervention with other clinical staff and psychiatrist(s).
• Draw blood for lab work for patients.
• Monitor consumer’s vital signs.
• Periodically provide community injections
• Administer medications including intramuscular medications.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards.
• Participate in team/organization meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.
• Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• LPN: Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Licensed as a Practical Nurse in good standing with the Board of Nursing of the State of Colorado.
• RN: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. License must be in good standing.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; experience in a behavioral health or outpatient clinic preferred.
• Experience with the severe and persistently mentally ill or similar populations strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with a serious and persistent mental illness preferred.

Pay

• Psychiatric Nurse I (LPN) - $30.12 - $31.62/hour
• Psychiatric Nurse II (RN) - $40.56 - $48.56/hr
• Psychiatric Nurse III (BSN) - $43.08 - $52.58/hr
• Language Differential - $2.50/hr for bilingual proficiency in Spanish & ASL

Work Location: BHSC Crisis Center 2929 W 10th Ave. Denver, CO 80204.

Shift/Hours: Sunday - Tuesday 7:00am-7:30pm
