Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
Position Overview
A leading behavioral health practice is seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join its multidisciplinary team. The practice specializes in advanced mental health treatments, including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Spravato (Esketamine) Therapy, medication management, and psychotherapy. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychiatric care while working alongside a collaborative team dedicated to improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Assessment: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and behavioral health assessments. Diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver patient-centered care.
Medication Management: Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications. Oversee Spravato (Esketamine) treatment in accordance with established protocols. Educate patients on medication use, benefits, and potential side effects.
THERAPEUTIC CARE: Provide evidence-based individual and group therapy as appropriate. Support patients through ongoing treatment and recovery.
TMS Oversight: Monitor patients undergoing Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure safe and effective care.
COLLABORATIVE CARE: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in treatment planning meetings and interdisciplinary case reviews.
Patient Education: Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and long-term mental health management. Provide resources and ongoing support throughout the treatment process.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Ensure patient confidentiality and adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a Psychiatric-Mental Health specialization.
Current Nurse Practitioner license and PMHNP certification.
Experience in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and treatment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
Adult PMHNP certification required.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary: $140,000-$160,000 annually (DOE)
