Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

About the role

This role is primarily an in-person position providing services in the Anderson, SC area to support high-quality, accessible patient care. Hybrid flexibility may become available once an established caseload has been developed.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and mental health care services to patients in the Anderson, SC area
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Prescribe medications as appropriate within scope of practice and state regulations
• Participate in clinical consultations and case reviews
• Engage in professional development activities to maintain and enhance clinical skills

Requirements

• Master’s degree in nursing (APRN) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA)
• Board certification in area of specialty (PMHNP preferred)
• Active, or eligible to receive, unrestricted state licensure in South Carolina
• Active, or eligible to receive, prescriptive authority in South Carolina
• Active, or eligible to receive, DEA Controlled Substances licensure
• Strong clinical judgment and confidence in developing evidence-based treatment plans
• Solid foundation in psychopharmacology with an interest in continued learning
• Ability to practice independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Experience in psychiatric and mental health care is preferred, especially for new applicants
• Specific psych experience as an RN is required for new applicants without prior experience in the field
