Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (part-time)

About the role

We are seeking a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering organization focused on helping individuals safely taper psychiatric medications, particularly antidepressants. The ideal candidate will have an active PMHNP certification with licensure in one or more of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington. They should have at least one year of post-certification clinical experience, be genuinely curious about the neurobiology of psychiatric medications, and be open to unlearning parts of their training. The role involves working directly alongside the clinicians and researchers who developed the model, managing a flexible schedule, and being comfortable with the remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to patients undergoing medication tapering
• Collaborate with the research team to refine and implement treatment protocols
• Document patient progress and outcomes in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Conduct regular consultations with patients to monitor their response to treatment
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in psychiatric deprescribing

Requirements

• Active PMHNP certification with licensure in one or more of the listed states
• At least one year of post-certification clinical experience
• Genuine curiosity about the neurobiology of psychiatric medications
• Willingness to unlearn parts of their training
• Comfortable with a fully remote work environment

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health
• Current licensure as a PMHNP in one or more of the covered states
• Experience in psychiatric medication management
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a flexible schedule

Skills

• Experience with hyperbolic tapering and other evidence-based treatment approaches

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
