Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time)

About the role

The position involves providing psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and consultation services.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Offer consultation services
• Utilize an electronic health record system
• Work 1-2 days per week, including Thursdays

Requirements

• Licensed to practice medicine in New York State
• Certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Enrolled Medicare provider with a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
• Able to bill Medicare, Medicaid, and 3rd Party insurances
• Experience working with children and adolescents with mental illness
• Experience with co-occurring disorders (mental illness and substance use)
• Spanish speaker highly preferred

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Current NY State License and Registration
• Certified or eligible for certification by a recognized specialty organization
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment
• Basic computer skills including typing
