Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Roles and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat mental health and emotional disorders
• Offer individual and group therapy to patients
• Prescribe and monitor medications when necessary
• Maintain detailed records of patient visits and progress
• Aid in the development of individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure patient continuity of care
• Inform patients and families about mental health and emotional disorders
• Engage in community outreach and education

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience post licensure in a psychiatric clinical setting
• Master's degree in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Nursing
• Board Certification via ANCC or AANP
• Valid state licensure as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• Active DEA in the state where prescribing is based
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus, but not required
• Knowledge of mental health and emotional disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work as part of a team
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in utilizing EHR systems, familiarity with NextGen preferred
• Strong computer literacy with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations; ability to adapt to new technologies and troubleshoot common issues

Pay

$145,000 - $203,800 annually

The above compensation represents total compensation. Total compensation is equal to our base salary of $145,000 plus Headlight's monthly billed hour bonus.
