Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients across the lifespan
  • Provide ongoing medication management and psychiatric follow-up care
  • Treat a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, OCD, mood disorders, and behavioral disorders
  • Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and clinical staff to coordinate patient care
  • Participate in treatment planning for patients receiving TMS and Spravato services
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
  • Provide telepsychiatry services as needed
  • Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment options, and wellness strategies

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
  • Active Pennsylvania NP license or ability to obtain DEA license or ability to obtain
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in outpatient psychiatry preferred
  • 2+ years of experience practicing as a PMHNP
