Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse - Bennington, VT
About the role
The Dartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join a dedicated team providing inpatient psychiatric care to adolescents at a new unit at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, VT. The position involves an alternating schedule with some night and weekend coverage, offering generous vacation and conference time.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric care to adolescents aged 12-17.
- Work in an innovative inpatient unit that includes psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and medical providers.
- Participate in the professional development of APRNs to support their growth and practice at the top of their scope.
- Opportunities for clinical supervision, precepting, and didactic teaching in APRN and other psychiatric education training programs.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited APRN academic program.
- National specialty certification as Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner or certification through the NCCPA (for Physician Assistants).
- Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only).
- Eligible for APRN licensure in the State of NH.
- Eligible for Federal DEA Registration.
- BLS certification.
