About the role
The Adult Psych and Geri Psych units at Freeman East Hospital provide inpatient psychiatric care for acute illnesses in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provides basic nursing care needs for the psychiatric patient under the direction/supervision of a nurse.
Requirements
- Successfully complete Freeman UAP Program within 90 days of hire.
- Successfully pass Patient Care Orientation (PCO) within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Requirements
- Certification preferred and/or experience as a nurse tech/assistant in a hospital setting.
- Applied Physical Skills (APS) preferred, but not required.
