About the role

Our Psych Techs assist with planning and implementing services for an assigned program, defining and implementing treatment goals as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team, and providing continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Program Manager.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing services for an assigned program.
• Define and implement treatment goals as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Provide continuous patient care, observation, interaction, and role modeling to patients.

Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• CPI/seclusion/restraint training/certification.
• Knowledge of psychiatric care techniques, de-escalation, and assaultive behavior management.
• Thorough knowledge and training in CPR and all code procedures.
• Knowledge of adolescent and adult program rules and protocols.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and coworkers.
• Ability to adhere to safety policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work as a team player and demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication.
• Ability to problem-solve and accept direction while adhering to policies.
• Ability to recognize the importance of adapting to various patient age groups (adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and react calmly in emergencies.

Schedule

Full-time nights – 12-hour shifts.
