Psych Registered Nurse, Child/Adolescent - Nights, VPH
Job Summary
Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes.
Shift
The person hired into this position will work four 8-hour shifts per week from 11:00p-7:00a for a total of 32 hours per week, to include some weekends.
Position Highlights
The environment on our unit is a therapeutic milieu, focusing on teamwork and individualized care. We treat both a younger age milieu as well as one that focuses on adolescents. We care for patients ranging in age from 4 to 18 years old who are being treated for a variety of psychiatric illnesses.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved discipline program
- 1 year RN experience
- Active RN license
