About the Role

The State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center seeks a Licensed Professional Counselor to join an interdisciplinary treatment team serving mentally ill forensic clients in a high-security setting. The ideal candidate should demonstrate compassion, a trauma-informed approach, and a commitment to recovery-based care.

Responsibilities

• Secure social and environmental information from clients and their families through interviews and home visits.
• Compile case histories.
• Work collaboratively with professional clinical staff to support client needs.
• Assist in understanding and interpreting medical and treatment records.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of individual, family, and group behavior.
• Understanding of current social and economic challenges.
• Ability to access and interpret medical and treatment records.

Qualifications
