PST Floater
About the role
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Stockbridge, GA. As a Float Phlebotomist, you will have the opportunity to quickly gain a vast amount of experience working with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations. This unique role will allow you to develop your skills and set you up for opportunities and continuous growth within the organization.
Work Schedule
- Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM with 1-hour lunch break
- Hours may vary based on business needs and site assignment
- Saturday rotation (8:00 AM–12:00PM) no lunch; employees working Saturday will receive a weekday off
Travel/Floater Position
Supporting multiple Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations including: Stockbridge, McDonough, Monticello, Fayetteville, Newnan, and other surrounding service areas as business needs require.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
- Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
- Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
- 2 years or more experience as a phlebotomist
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience
Additional Job Standards
- In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
- Be at least 21 years' old
Pay
- Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
- Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
