About the Role
The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Emerging Adult program is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a PSR-I A Case Manager in Eastman, Georgia. The agency is dedicated to providing quality innovative behavioral healthcare in a recovery-based environment and serves residents across multiple Georgia counties.
Responsibilities
- Per standards for PSR-I/CSI, make required contacts per month to consumers (minimum of 2 per month; daily contact may be needed with this population)
- Adhere to treatment plans and provide services and interventions as planned
- Write progress notes (24-48 hrs) and bill for services provided
- Adhere to DBHDD guidelines in regard to the quality of documentation
- Complete notes within agency policy timeline
- Recognize consumer needs and assist them in obtaining appropriate services
- Provide consumer information for outside resources and encourage them to access them as independently as possible
- Communicate accurate information to others in a professional and courteous manner; convey a willingness to assist
- Show consideration for others, work cooperatively with co-workers, provide constructive feedback without undue criticism; display appreciation of differences in approaches, personalities, and viewpoints of others
- Solicit input of those affected by plans or actions; give credit and recognition to others who have contributed; demonstrate concern for treating people fairly and equitably
- Accept responsibility for own mistakes and take action to prevent similar occurrences; work to resolve conflicts and identify solutions benefiting all parties
- Identify team goals and ways to work with coworkers to accomplish those goals; keep group activities productive and focused on results
- Demonstrate eagerness to learn and assume responsibility; seek out and accept increased responsibility; display a "can do" approach to work
- Show persistence and seek alternatives when obstacles arise; seek alternative solutions; do things before being asked or forced to by events
- Work within the system in a resourceful manner to accomplish reasonable work goals; show flexibility in response to process changes and adapt to new methods and procedures
- Accept direction and feedback from supervisors and follow through appropriately
- Attend in-service training as required
- Attend monthly staff meetings
- Attend meetings with other agencies/court as requested
- Contact Supervisor/Clinical Supervisor to obtain guidance and assistance when necessary
- Review available professional literature and educational material in a timely manner to improve level of knowledge/skills
- Complete all duties assigned in a timely manner
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
- Valid Georgia Driver's License
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
- Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Etc.)
- Previous experience with case management or behavioral health
