PSO Field Service Engineer, Amazon Prime Air

About the role

Amazon Prime Air is seeking a Product Support Engineering (PSO) Field Service Engineer to investigate drone system performance for anomalies and deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations. This role involves leading cross-functional system investigations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, developing and maintaining documentation, and communicating effectively across all organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Investigate drone system performance for anomalies, deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations
• Lead cross-functional system investigations with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize drone system performance metrics, and drive improvements
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights to establish benchmark standards and reduce operational burdens
• Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures
• Deliver measurable system behavior improvements based on data analysis that impacts customer experience, proactively engaging stakeholders to advocate for customers
• Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners

Requirements

• 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
• Experience scripting in modern program languages
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

Qualifications

• Strong cross-functional engineering fundamentals (mechanical, electrical, software development basics) skills are essential
• Strong technical communication and documentation skills

Skills

• Ability to translate complex system functions into digestible insights and summarize effectively with stakeholders at all levels
