Job Purpose: Maintain the facility process safety management program in accordance with JBS Tolleson corporate Ammonia Refrigeration Management program.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates with the Plant Engineer and affected employees on all PHA open items.
• Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates to the Plant Engineer and affected employees on all Compliance Audit open Exceptions and Recommendations.
• Schedule and coordinate quarterly updates to the Plant Engineer and affected employees on all Mechanical Integrity Inspection open defects.
• Affiliate with facility Safety in managing the Hot Work Program and Emergency Action Plan.
• Affiliate with preventative maintenance procedures written with detailed long text and revised as necessary on all ammonia equipment.
• Affiliate with Standard Operating Procedures written on all ammonia equipment and are maintained current and accurate and updated as often as necessary.
• Affiliate with operating procedures certified annually to be current and accurate.
• Affiliate with environmental issues related to the Ammonia Refrigeration System.
• Provide PSM leadership across all shifts in establishing, organizing, planning, and implementing PSM program and corporate ammonia initiatives.
• Affiliate with Refrigeration Operators trained, and training is documented.
• Affiliate with revising the facility PSM program according to JBS Tolleson Corporate PSM Team revisions that are sent out periodically.
• Affiliate with ensuring appropriate PSM documentation and procedures (i.e. MOC, Line Break, and PHA) are followed on all ammonia projects.
• Affiliate with coordinating associated ammonia best practices across the plant and facilitating continuous improvement.
• Affiliate with participating in monthly Corporate PSM Coordinator conference calls.
• Affiliate with attending the annual JBS Tolleson Ammonia Safety & Best Practices Workshop.
• Network with the JBS Tolleson PSM Team to remain aligned, up to date on information, and current on the direction being shared across all JBS Tolleson ammonia refrigeration facilities.
• Have access to up to date “Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices.”
• For Ammonia Refrigeration, this is the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR).
• Associate Membership in the IIAR provides full access to all IIAR Codes & Standards.
• Membership can be established after placement in the role of PSM Coordinator.
• Work Environment & Schedule: Manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment. Additionally, this role requires to work 1st shift hours and occasional overtime and weekends. Open to discuss flexibility.
• Physical Requirements: Physical demands include but not limited to Occasional- upright stance, recumbent stance, prostrate stance, traversal of workplace, transporting heavy objects, pushing, pulling, scaling heights, accessing high objects, accessing low objects, keyboard or text input, balancing, fine movement, repetitive motion. Heavy- occasionally exerting 50-100 lbs of force, frequently 50+ lbs or 10-20lbs constantly. EOE, including disability/vets.
