About the Role

The DCREP (District Court Re-entry Program) (PSC) Case Manager is responsible for facilitating and monitoring program participants' involvement and completion of employment and re-entry services of the court re-entry program, as ordered by the court. This position facilitates access to employment, education, and vocational opportunities and resources, monitors participant progress, and ensures compliance with court-ordered tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying & Networking – Community Resources: Research and engage community agencies and organizations to ensure adequate resources are available for program participants in educational, vocational, and employment services.
  • Court Related Activities: Participate in weekly or bi-weekly meetings with DCREP partners, prepare and print court reports for hearings, participate in court proceedings, and document activities for DCREP files.
  • Program Reporting & Documentation: Ensure accurate and timely submission of all case management reports in AIMS and court systems. Write clear, concise, and accurate notes on each participant, construct and update case plans, and make recommendations based on participant needs.
  • Direct Service to Participants: Evaluate participant services, author and update case plans, identify vocational and employment needs, facilitate access to services/programs, and guide participants through court-ordered tasks and obligations.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or Associate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience:
    • For Bachelor’s degree holders: Two (2) years of fieldwork or case management experience in mental health, homelessness, addictions, human/family services, health services, public safety, law enforcement, or court management.
    • For Associate degree holders: Four (4) years of fieldwork or case management experience in the same fields.
  • Knowledge of social or criminal justice case management and re-entry programs/services.
  • Skills in active listening, empathy, problem-solving, communication, and customer service.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, facilitate meetings, maintain confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment in interactions with judges, attorneys, court personnel, and participants.
  • Ability to work independently, develop community partnerships, and manage program activities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, AIMS, and internet research.

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently. Involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking and standing.

Financial Disclosure: As a state employee, you may be required to file an annual Financial Disclosure with the State Ethics Commission.
