ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain building repairs as directed.
- Comply with town, state, fire and safety codes.
- Perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical and landscape tasks.
- Drive company vehicles including, box truck, vans and pull trailer.
- Deliver, swap and transport vehicles.
- Donation pick-ups.
- Move furniture.
- Maintain safety and access/egress of buildings (snow/ice removal, etc.).
- Prepare for company meetings, events and fundraisers.
- Participate in on-the-job training and provide coaching to new co-workers as directed.
- Attend all required meetings.
- Adhere to agency safety standards.
- Perform additional duties, or substitute for others as required.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to work independently and flexibly with others.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a calm, collegial and assertive manner with people from all walks of life.
- Excellent organization skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Maintain a Valid Driver’s License.
- Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
- Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI) and release of information concerning allegations from Disabled Persons Protection Commission (DPPC), Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and other agencies.
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to taste or smell.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
